IP is a public IP information tool that shows your public IPv4 address, reverse DNS (PTR) record, ASN, ISP, geolocation, proxy/VPN detection, and the HTTP request headers your browser is sending.
IP is a personal project developed in free time by SS Data AS. SS Data AS is not currently an operational company. The service is provided as-is with no uptime guarantees.
IP uses the shared SS Data authentication system. When you sign in, your email address is used to identify your account. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled by the SS Data auth service.
We store a running count of your IP lookups — a weekly counter (for rate limiting) and a total lifetime counter. No lookup results are persisted: we record that a lookup happened, not what IP address or headers were returned.

IP geolocation, ASN, ISP, and proxy data is retrieved server-side from ip-api.com. Your IP address is sent to ip-api.com as part of the lookup. Their privacy policy applies to that data. No other third-party services are used.
Reverse DNS lookups (PTR records) are performed via your server's DNS resolver — no third-party DNS service is involved beyond standard DNS infrastructure.
We use a single session cookie named ssdata_session to keep you signed in across SS Data services. This cookie contains a random session token — no personal data is embedded in it. It expires after 8 hours of inactivity.
No third-party cookies are set. No advertising cookies are used.
Your lookup counters are stored for as long as your account exists. Weekly counters reset automatically every Monday. If you want your account and all associated data permanently deleted, contact us and we will remove everything within a reasonable timeframe.
You may use IP for personal diagnostic, privacy verification, and network troubleshooting purposes. You may not attempt to circumvent the rate limiting, access other users' accounts, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
The service is provided "as is" without any warranty of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Geolocation data is approximate — do not rely on it for critical decisions.
SS Data AS shall not be liable for any loss resulting from inaccurate IP data, data loss, or other service interruptions.
We may update this document from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
